So it’s Sunday. A day away from work and yet as close to those spiteful Mondays as it can get. Here’s a list of things I thought of one could do on any given summer Sunday.

1. Wake up LATE
This is your Sunday. Sleep it up (or down – depends on the point of view). Even if you slip out of the slumber early, close your eyes and snuggle in your blanket.

2. Stay in BED
Yep, spend the whole day in bed. Don’t do your hair, don’t pick up any clothes, just embrace the thought of having a whole day to yourself, your pillow and your fancy pajamas. Feels good, doesn’t it?

3. Wake up EARLY
Well, this calls for an alarm clock and a great deal of self control. Have the waking hour set on before sunrise. When the alarm goes off just slip out of bed and have a look at the sky.

4. LEAVE town for the day
Pick a spot, do some planning and leave home early. It doesn’t have to be far – going 20 or 30 miles away from town is perfectly enough. Spend the day there.

5. READ a whole book
Start in the morning and finish the book up (avoid “War and Peace”). Go through every page, enjoy the sense of paper and ink with your fingertips, devote your fullest attention to the piece of publishing in your hands. Choose wisely, choose fiction, choose something you like. Stay up late if you have to but get right to “The End”.

6. COOK
Choose a recipe and do the grocery shopping on Saturday. And on Sunday spend some hours in the kitchen. Get yourself dirty, hot and happy. The result is of no importance actually, just delight in the process.

7. SPOIL yourself
…and nobody else. Do it any way you like. Get up late and have that breakfast you’ve wanted for a month or go shopping or watch a movie or enjoy a block of milk chocolate. Enjoy yourself, spoil yourself to the treat you love.

8. EXERCISE
Not really my favorite but after an hour in the gym I feel as if I am able to lift up any mountain. Sweat and do your share of calorie burning. Bicycles and roller skates are a good choice.

9. Call your FRIENDS
…and spend some time with them.

10. Do NOTHING
This is the ultimate laziness. Devote yourself to it and enjoy to the every last drop of bittwersweet sloth.
